i highly agree with what you have posted, and more about it maybe:

• get close contact to nature may help you get inspiration;
• if you want to touch the readers, touch yourself first

and ps, a little more again,

• if you want the readers to enjoy reading your writngs one time, you need first enjoy reading yours ten times without boring, as unvail has mentioned;
• write to enjoy yourself. when you find writing is tedious or can hardly know what to write or how to write, stop for a while.do not write to write(为写而写).writing should be a relaxing and funny thing, or a way freeing you of passion(were it not relieved, passion can make you uncomfortable);
• catch the sparkle of inspirations, which flys fast. you shound remember it immediately rather let it slip away. sometime it's slight as a breeze; if stronger, like a electric flow through your body; the strongest, can make you cry;
• snacks are as good as formal meal. when inspirations are strong (it may be called "passion",right?), just record it, it is a big meal. but when slight, record it and see if it can be extended, or just let it be. it may be nice snack. we need some nice snacks between meals, do we? This is why some masters sometimes write small works;
