MY TWO CENTS: 我的两分钱
I treat you as my heartfelt and truthful friend,
So irrigate your garden to make your grasses green and flowers bright.
Unfortunately I cannot abandon my conscience to tell a lie,
I cannot repeatedly flatter you above the cloud into sky height.
I don’t care if you are a bird of paradise in China Institute of Literature;
It does not matter if you are a pitiful unheard grass along the river.
By no mean will I be a climbing trumpet creeper,
Show off myself relying on your magnificence.
In no way will I imitate a lovey-dovey bird,
for luxurious shade to repeat a monotone lyric.
Absolutely not because of your ordinary or insignificant human being,
I will disdain you such that I make our friendship broken.
Like you: a person of sky high self-perception and a talent without opportunity,
Based purely on your gigantic imagination how the hell can you reach the height?
Your English poetry needs a lot of hard work days and nights,
And your characters: need to be sincere, humble and friendly.
